Collection: Digestive Remedies

Occasional stomach upset can happen to any dog.  These simple diets soothe the tummy and help relieve symptoms.

Boiled/Grilled chicken or low fat canned chicken, white rice, and plain pumpkin form the classic bland diet to calm a dog's mild digestive upset and firm up loose stool. This combination gives the gastrointestinal tract a break while delivering easily absorbable nutrients.

Why This Combination Works
White Rice: A high-starch, low-fiber carb that is simple to digest and helps bind loose stools. (Avoid brown rice, as its excess fiber can further irritate the gut).

Boiled/Grilled Chicken: Provides lean, easily digestible protein. It must be skinless, boneless, and cooked without any oils, butter, or seasonings.
Plain Pumpkin: Rich in soluble fiber that absorbs excess water in the digestive tract. Use 100% pure canned pumpkin puree—never pumpkin pie filling, which contains toxic spices, sweetener, and extra sugar.

Feed small, frequent portions
3 to 4 times daily to avoid overloading the stomach.

Transitioning back to normal food
Once the stool normalizes for 24 hours, slowly reintroduce regular dog food by mixing 25% regular food with 75% bland diet, gradually increasing regular food over several days.

Avoid all and any treats during the upset.

If condition persists consult a veterinarian.
